At the end of week 1, our class hosted a Senior School assembly. We decided we wanted it to be linked to the Olympic Games seeing as though we have been learning about that this week. We used the motto - FASTER HIGHER STRONGER TOGETHER to create 4 challenges where the classes would compete against each other. The faster challenge was a running race, the stronger a plank challenge, the higher was a quiz and the together was a dance / sing challenge. Room 1 and 2 ended up winning Gold with our class silver and Room 9 bronze. It was heaps of fun. Our digital learning object shows the slides we made for assembly.

Clarify New Words
Today I was learning to clarify new words. My digital learning object shows my word poem.
I enjoyed making the words fit the shape of a plane.
I found it tricky coming up with lots of words
Next time I would like to make my poem like an animation.

2021 Online Profiles
We have been working on our online profiles so we can update our blog details.
We had created a visual online profile with Google Drawings a few weeks ago. Then we wrote a more descriptive profile in Google Docs using Voice Typing last week.
If you look on the right-hand side bar of our blogs you will see that our WHAKAAHUA | PHOTO is now our 2021 photo. And right below it is our KO WAI AHAU? | ABOUT ME gadget.
All our student blogs are listed in the right-hand side bar labelled NGĀ ĀKONGA | STUDENTS.

Quality Blog Posts - Chromepets
This week we were editing our Chromepet blog post to make sure they were quality blog posts.
We had to make sure we have reflected about our learning, added an attention-grabbing title, put labels in and embedded our Chromepet drawing.
You can read all our blog posts by clicking on the student's names in the side bar of this blog.
